Tayside 4×4 Response is a registered charity made up entirely of dedicated, unpaid volunteers who provide emergency logistical support to Category 1 and Category 2 responder organisations, helping to support and protect our communities when they need it most.

 

Operating throughout Tayside, we work closely with emergency services, local authorities, healthcare providers, and other partner organisations. We can also provide assistance beyond our region through established mutual aid arrangements with other 4×4 Response groups across the UK when additional support is required.

 

Our liaison team actively engages with Local Resilience Partnerships, ensuring that we remain integrated within local emergency planning and response structures. This enables us to respond quickly and effectively during severe weather, major incidents, and community emergencies.

 

Using our volunteers' own capable 4×4 vehicles, we are able to provide reliable transport and logistical support in situations where conventional vehicles may be unable to operate. Whether facing challenging weather conditions, difficult terrain, or remote locations, our volunteers help ensure that essential services and supplies continue to reach those who need them.
